Difference between one-way thrust ball bearings and two-way thrust ball bearings

The difference between one-way thrust ball bearings and two-way thrust ball bearings:

One-way Thrust Ball Bearing-The one-way thrust ball bearing consists of a shaft washer, a bearing race, and a ball and cage thrust assembly. The bearing is detachable, so installation is simple, because the washer and ball can be installed separately from the cage assembly.

There are two types of small one-way thrust ball bearings, with flat raceways or self-aligning raceways. Bearings with self-aligning races can be used in conjunction with self-aligning seat washers to compensate for angular misalignment between the support surface in the bearing housing and the shaft.

Two-way thrust ball bearings-The composition of two-way thrust ball bearings consists of a three-way thrust ball bearing consisting of a shaft washer, two seat rings and two steel ball-retainer assemblies. The bearings are separate, and each part can be installed independently. The shaft washer, which cooperates with the shaft, can bear axial loads in two directions, and can fix the shaft in both directions. This type of bearing must not withstand any delivery radial load. Thrust ball bearings also have a structure with a seat cushion. Since the mounting surface of the seat cushion is spherical, the bearing has a self-aligning performance, which can reduce the impact of mounting errors.

Two-way bearings and one-way bearings use the same shaft washer, seat ring, and ball-cage assembly.

Thrust bearing use conditions:

Thrust bearings are dynamic pressure bearings. For the bearings to work properly, the following conditions should be met:

1. The lubricating oil has a viscosity;

2. There is a certain relative speed between dynamic and static body;

3. The two surfaces moving relative to each other are inclined to form an oil wedge;

4. The external load is within the specified range;

5. Sufficient amount of oil.

Thrust bearings have excellent self-lubricating and abrasion resistance performance, which is 800 times that of Teflon, without damaging the paired parts; good thermal performance, thermal deformation> 275 ° C, long-term use under 240 ° C under load; Chemical corrosion, excellent electrical properties, good tightness, thrust bearings are non-stick, non-toxic; good compression creep resistance, four times higher than pure PTFE
