What is a deep groove ball bearing?

Deep groove ball bearings are the most common type of ball bearing.

They are commonly used in electric motors and household appliances, car motors, office machinery, automation control, and garden and household tools. They have deep raceway grooves, and their raceway size is close to the size of the inner ball.

Deep groove ball bearings can be provided in a variety of sizes, materials and varieties according to consumer needs, including special industrial uses, such as high-temperature applications. High-temperature bearings can withstand temperatures up to 350°C (660°F) and are suitable for machines used in the metal industry or industrial ovens.

They have two designs: single row deep groove ball bearings. There are also double-row bearings in which there are two rows of bearing balls. Depending on the application, they can also be made into different sizes and loads, from miniature ball bearings for light loads and small components to large deep groove ball bearings and heavy-duty deep groove bearings.

Replacing deep groove ball bearings with sliding bearings can bring a series of benefits: including reduced costs, reduced maintenance, greatly reduced noise and simplified installation at low speeds. Sliding bearings can also have higher load capacity, simplified assembly, longer service life, reduced housing size and assembly size and weight.
